When you are feeling extra creative & want to crochet a unique and one of a kind blanket designed by you, then you've come to the right spot!
I recently decided to make a fun C2C flower crochet blanket, one that brought out my inner child craftiness and allowed me to be carefree. After a little bit of designing and a few extra hours of crocheting here is the result, this "Funky Flower" Crochet Blanket.

C2C Graph

Here is the pattern that I designed. Each of the 20 C2C floral squares will be crocheted separately before a boarder is added to each and joined together.

You will be crocheting little clusters of stitches to create a square. Each cluster will represent a little square in the graph above. You will start crocheting each of the 20 blocks in the bottom right square of that block. You can use the same colors pictured above for each block or make it your own.

The pattern works from the bottom right corner of each block and will finished in the top left corner, hence corner to corner (C2C.)

Lets begin

Choose any of the 20 blocks above to start. Each block after will be worked the same way, but the color placement will be different.

Here is a little video that explains the basics of the C2C crochet method and will help you to get started if you’ve never crocheted C2C before.

Row 1

Start with desired color yarn. There will only be one cluster/square in this row

  • Start with a CH5
  • Skip 2 CH and work a DC in each of the next 3 CH spaces.
    • You just worked a little square, which represents the bottom right square in the graph.

 Row 2:

There will be 2 clusters/squares for this row

  • CH 5
  • Skip 2 CH and work a DC in each of the next 3 CH spaces.
    • You will now flip up the first cluster/square you made so that you can work a SS into the CH 2 space that was created in that cluster/square
  • CH2 + 3DC into the same CH2 space (you just completed 2 squares for this row)
